Whereupon — Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 June 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Whereupon app. By downloading or using Whereupon, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

Apple's standard EULA applies

Use of Whereupon is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA differ, Apple's standard EULA controls for the matters it covers.

Pro subscription

Whereupon offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Whereupon Pro:

Fair play

Whereupon is a competitive game with shared daily questions and a public leaderboard. You agree not to attempt to cheat, manipulate scores, automate play, or otherwise undermine the integrity of the leaderboard. We may remove scores or accounts that do.

Your account and content

You are responsible for the display name you choose. Don't pick a name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or infringes anyone's rights — we may change or remove names that violate this.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, to attack or overload our service, to reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or to access content or features you haven't paid for.

Disclaimer and liability

Whereupon is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Historical content is curated for an enjoyable game and may be simplified; it is not a scholarly reference. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
